    Spain v USA

Monday's action begins with a contest between two potential finalists. Although the USA are heavy favourites, Spain have proven to be a resilient and competitive team. This will be an excellent test for both teams. Whatever the outcome of this game, it will provide a glimpse into the remainder of the tournament as these two teams could cross paths in the Final Phase.

    Canada v Serbia

Serbia opened their Group B campaign with a loss against Spain on Sunday, while the Canadians had a convincing win over China on Saturday. The European champions will aim to clinch a first-ever win in the Olympics.

    Japan v Brazil

Expect a fast-paced game in this one. After doing almost everything right in the first three quarters against medal contenders Australia, in their Group A opener, hosts Brazil left the court with a sense of unfinished business. Even though Brazil beat Japan twice last week in the build-up to the Olympics, they will need to stay focused. Japan are looking to stay undefeated following a win against Belarus on Saturday.

    Senegal v China

Monday's action finishes with African champions Senegal going up against China. If the Senegalese can convert as many three-pointers (9) as they did against the USA, they might have a chance to avoid a blowout. China emerge as favourites.
