RIO DE JANEIRO GAMES (Rio 2016 Olympic Games) - Spain's 92-73 triumph over Argentina on Monday night prevented Brazil from progressing to the Quarter-Finals.

The Brazilians went out of the competition with just two wins - one of them over Spain. But the basketball gods did not smile on Ruben Magnano's team, which had won 86-69 earlier in the day over Nigeria to keep their hopes alive.

Brazil won against Nigeria but failed to advance after Spain beat Argentina

Brazil's exit means that for the second straight Olympics, the hosts did not make it to the Quarter-Finals. Great Britain blew a big lead against Australia and ended up missing out on the last eight four years ago.
