WABC Level 2 coaching course held in Doha

BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office-Asia successfully organized a World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC) Level 2 coaching course in Doha, Qatar.

Made possible in cooperation with the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF), the program was held last November 25-30, attended by a total of 15 candidates.

Abdou Sow felt beyond grateful to have improved his coaching knowledge by taking part in the six-day session, where they were taught advance presentation and assessor skills.

"I received valuable informations on methodologies, strategies, and enhancing basketball knowledge," he offered. "I was really glad to learn from experienced FIBA instructors, interact with fellow coaches, and deepen my understanding of coaching at a more advanced level."

Another participant in Waleed Alqathani was as thankful as well for the whole experience, believing that it would further improve his coaching skills.

"My appreciation to the instructors. They provided us with all the valuable information through theoretical and practical lectures," he said. "I benefited greatly from the information on all methods of teaching basketball in an advanced manner."

These courses are part of the Regional Office’s continuous efforts to improve the National Federations, including the coaches, who are undeniably an integral part of basketball games.
