Successful conclusion of photography workshop in Tehran

BEIRUT (Lebanon) - FIBA Regional Office - Asia organized a photography workshop in Tehran, Iran on 21 and 22 May 2023, in coordination with the Iran Basketball Federation.

"The workshop was very useful and good," said Parinaz Ahmadi, one of the 30 participants in attendance of the workshop that came from all over the country. "There were many new tips to learn which was positive for me."

"Even though I had experience in basketball photography, this workshop made my perspective and photography skills change and improve."

This is a continued effort toward the Regional Office’s commitment to improving the level of basketball photography in Asia. The workshops further showcased the effort and commitment in an attempt to support the photographers and upgrade the quality of basketball photography and the level of media coverage in the country.

The participants eagerly engaged with the sessions, taking the opportunity to gain knowledge, share experiences, and network with others in the same field of profession. After a presentation briefing, the photographers got to shoot a basketball game and implemented the information they had received the previous day.

"I came to this workshop because I wanted to start basketball photography," said Mohammad Karamali, a participant with professional and official football photography experience. "This workshop helped me a lot, and I found a new vision for basketball photography that I had never experienced in football."

"The practical part of the class was very impressive and good," said another participant, Yeganeh Chiredast. "I hope these classes and workshops will occur more often."

Certificates of attendance were handed to the participants by the BBA for their presence and engagement during the workshop.
