Launch of the 6th FIBA Photo Contest

MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA Foundation has launched the 6th FIBA photo contest celebrating ‘Local Basketball Pride’.

Local Basketball Pride in each city, village, playground; we are looking for photographers and basketball lovers to reveal their hometown courts and players, showing unique aspects of their countries that represent the diversity of Basketball.

The contest is a unique opportunity for all keen photographers and basketball lovers to show their talents.

FIBA's 90th anniversary in 2022 is the opportunity to celebrate the pride of being part of a diverse family, the stories of the origin of basketball in your countries and the successes achieved.

Over the past 6 years, the FIBA Photo Contest has become one of the biggest basketball related photo contests in the world. In 2021, we received 1100 photos from over 740 photographers and 96 different countries.

About Basketball Cultural Heritage

FIBA’s cultural heritage is the heart of the FIBA Foundation’s cultural and historical activities. It is one of the driving forces behind the promotion and dissemination of FIBA’s values. We preserve, research, promote and educate on the sport by managing and growing the FIBA collections, supporting National Federations to preserve their history, raising the profile of the FIBA Hall of Fame, and increasing  and sharing the legacy of basketball.
