Junckers holding court as FIBA Global Supplier of wooden flooring until 2024

MIES (Switzerland) - Basketball's global governing body FIBA has announced an agreement with Junckers to serve as a FIBA Global Supplier for wooden flooring until 2024. 

The multi-event partnership with the Danish company will cover FIBA's international competitions, including the FIBA EuroBasket 2022, FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 and the Paris 2024 Olympic Basketball Tournaments. 

Junckers will supply the latest generation of its Pro Complete 44 portable sports flooring system across all three competitions. The courts for the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 and the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 will be custom-made and specifically designed with the unique branding of each respective event. Junckers will also supply the same equipment for the Olympic Basketball Tournaments in Paris 2024.

Junckers, a global market leader, has a strong proven track record as the professional basketball court flooring of choice. FIBA and Junckers already having a collaborative history together with the company being the Official Court Supplier of the FIBA EuroBasket in 2017.

The Junckers portable sports flooring system has also been previously used across a number of FIBA events as well as the Olympic Games. Junckers solid hardwood flooring provides a professional, flexible option and the company has been a FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre partner since 1996.

The agreement comes following a Request for Proposal for the EuroBasket 2022 and a combined Request for Proposal for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 and Paris 2024 Olympic Basketball Tournaments, which were presented to all FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre partners.

This agreement was brokered by FIBA Marketing, a strategic partnership between FIBA and Infront Sports & Media.
