In a gala dinner earlier this year, it was voted that the FIBA U16 European Championship 2016 was the city's best organized event of the year - an event that was awarded to the city by FIBA, before being jointly organized by FIBA and a local organizing committee.
The delegation, which included City Mayor Radoslaw Witkowski, Polish Basketball Federation President Grzegorz Bachanski, and Rosa Radom President Roman Saczywko paid a visit to the Munich offices on Wednesday morning to present the award to Kamil Novak on the behalf of FIBA.
"This is my first time since working for FIBA that we have been presented with an award such as this," commented Novak. "This is excellent proof of the hard work that was put in by my Munich team and those on the ground in Radom to produce a high-class youth event."
