MIES (Switzerland) - To mark the occasion of reaching 40,000 registered courts, FIBA and Courts of the World visited the Patrick Baumann Playground, a 3x3 basketball court in Mies, located close to FIBA's Headquarters. The court was added to courtsoftheworld.com in the presence of Courts of the World owner, Ryan O'Leary and Head of FIBA's Equipment & Venue Centre, Bart Prinssen.

The court, named in honor of the late FIBA Secretary General, Patrick Baumann, is open to all at Route de Veytay in Mies.

Since partnering with the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre in June 2021, the court finder has had steady growth in the number of both indoor and outdoor courts. Basketball enthusiasts can add their local pick-up game spots, pictures and review existing courts. FIBA aims to continue growing the database, making it easier to access courts around the world.
