    Colombia to host FIBA Women's Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament

    MIAMI (United States) – FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament will be played at the Iván de Bedout Coliseum in the city of Medellín, Colombia, between November 9 and 12.

    MIAMI (United States) – FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament will be played at the Iván de Bedout Coliseum in the city of Medellín, Colombia, between November 9 and 12, as announced by the FIBA Regional office in the Americas.

    Ranked 3rd to 6th, respectively, in the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2023, the national teams of Canada, Puerto Rico, host Colombia, and Venezuela will compete for two spots in the FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, which will take place in February 2024.

    The four teams will play in a single group and will have the opportunity to match up against each other. Those teams who finish in first and second place will clinch a berth to the FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2024.

    In the Americas, the teams of the United States, current Olympic and world champion, and Brazil, champion of the FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2023, already have secured a spot in the FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2024.

    Matchday 1 November 9: CAN – VEN / PUR – COL
    Matchday 2 November 10: COL – CAN / VEN – PUR
    Matchday 3 November 12: CAN – PUR / COL – VEN
