COLORADO SPRINGS (FIBA World Championship) - The USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team will train in Las Vegas in preparation for the 2006 FIBA World Championship that will be held Aug. 19-Sept. 3 in Japan.

"The long and healthy basketball rivalry between the USA and Puerto Rico will be showcased at this event," said Colangelo.

"Both national teams are among the very best in the world, so I am sure this will be a game that basketball fans in Las Vegas and the surrounding areas won't want to miss."

"We are proud to be part of the USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team training and exhibition game against the Puerto Rico National Team," said Pat Christenson, president of Las Vegas Events.
