    Obras Stadium in Argentina will host the Final 8 of the Liga Sudamericana

    MIAMI (United States) – The Obras Sanitarias stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was chosen as the 2022 South American Basketball League Final 8 venue, which will be played from November 29 to December 4.

    The eight teams that advanced will face each other as follows:

    San Martin (ARG) vs.   Oberá (ARG)
    Boca Juniors (ARG)   vs.   São Paulo (BRA)
    Unifacisa (BRA)   vs.   Aguada (URU)
    Baurú (BRA)   vs.   Titanes (COL)

     

    The Quarterfinals will be played from November 29 to December 1 in a double elimination format. The winners will advance and if they win again, they will qualify for the Semi-Finals. The losing teams will play a second match and if they lose a second time they will be eliminated.

    The four teams that prevail will advance to the Final 4, which will be played on December 3 and 4.

    The South American Basketball League, in its 25th edition, is the most important club tournament in South America and the second in the continent, after the Basketball Champions League Americas. The winner will lift the Horacio Muratore trophy, named after the honorary president of FIBA ​​and founder of the competition.

    The Brazilian club Botafogo is the last champion of the South American League after winning the title in 2019.
