    CONCORDIA (DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana 2017) – Estudiantes de Concordia won game three of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana Final 74-68, to prevent a Guaros de Lara sweep. Game 4 of the Final will be played tomorrow, December 14.

    Guaros had a better start and won the first quarter, but with great offensive actions from Rigoberto Mendoza, the host turned the game around and took the lead during the third quarter. Estudiantes took a comfortable lead after a 13-4 start to the last ten minutes of the game. Guaros kept fighting and came within two-points of the opponent with less than two minutes to play of the fourth quarter. Mendoza scored a lay-up for the host, Guaros had four attempts from the free-throw line, but only scored one. Smith scored for the host and the lead extended to five points with 52 seconds to play. Bolivar scored from the free-throw line and secured the Estudiantes win.

    Rigoberto Mendoza was the best for Estudiantes with 18 points and 8 rebounds.

    Game 4 of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana will be played on December 14.
