Competition System

In the Group Phase the teams have been divided into four (4) groups that will play in round robin format during three (3) days.

The first two (2) teams of Group A, B and C, together with the best team that finishes in third place in these groups, will qualify to the Semi-Final Phase. They will be joined by one (1) team that will qualify from Group D, where the national league champions of Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Peru will play.

In the Semi-Final Phase, the eight (8) teams will be divided into two (2) groups of four (4) that will play in round robin format during three (3) days. The best team from each group will reach the Grand Finale.

The Grand Finale will be played in a series to the best of five (5) games that will determine the DIRECTV Liga Sudamerican 2017 Champion.
