BUENOS AIRES (DIRECTV Liga de las Americas 2019) - San Lorenzo de Almagro successfully defended its continental title, after defeating Guaros de Lara, 64-61, in the Final of the DIRECTV Liga de las Americas 2019.

Turning Point: With 30.8 seconds left to play, guard José Vildoza completed a three-point play that gave the host an advantage that would eventually win the game.

Stats don’t lie: The defense of the host limited the opponent to just 18 points during the second half. San Lorenzo scored 19 points in fast breaks.

Game Hero: Dar Tucker led the team of Boedo with 21 points, including two three-point shots in the winding moments of the second and third quarter. Tucker was named DIRECTV Liga de las Americas 2019 MVP after averaging 15.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in the continental league

The Bottom Line: San Lorenzo is now the third team in the history of the DIRECTV Liga de las Americas to win two continental titles (Peñarol, Guaros, San Lorenzo), but only the second team to do it back-to-back (Guaros, San Lorenzo).
