MUNICH (Germany) - NINERS Chemnitz forward Jeffery Garrett has been named the FIBA Europe Cup MVP for March.

Throughout the month, Garrett has been the centrepiece of a NINERS side that has eased its way through the knockout phase against elite teams from Spain and is making the deadliest of statements.

The 29-year-old American has been a force to reckon with this season. In March, he averaged an impressive 15.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game - leading to an overall rating of 21.3.

This is a testament to his consistent performances with season averages of 12.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.

Garrett's onslaught began with double-doubles against Casademont Zaragoza in the Quarter-Finals; amassing 12 points and 10 rebounds, followed by a sublime 20 points and 11 rebounds. He shot 8-of-9 from the field and drained four three-pointers in the latter.

The German side completed a 98-64 road win and a 102-86 success for a comfortable 200-150 aggregate win.

He then completed his hattrick of double-doubles in the first leg of the Semi-Finals away to Surne Bilbao Basket as Garrett hit three triples for 14 points and 10 rebounds in the comprehensive 98-73 win with his side in pole position to make the Finals.
