MUNICH (Germany) - The 2022-23 edition of the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season promises to serve up more entertainment with new teams and new faces ready to show out.

There were already some big performances in the Qualifiers and the wait is nearly over for the Regular Season to get underway.

We've picked out 10 players to keep an eye out over the coming weeks with some new names to the competition as well as familiar faces and experienced internationals.

KY BOWMAN - Happy Casa Brindisi

POINT GUARD

Birth date: June 16, 1997 (25 years old)
Height: 185cm / 6'1"
Nationality: USA

Bowman is playing in Europe for the first time having started his pro career at Golden State Warriors with 45 appearances in the 2019-20 NBA season. He averaged 7.4 points per game with a best of 27 points and after stints in the G-League, Bowman has signed in Italy on a deep roster as Happy Casa Brindisi look to make a run on their FIBA Europe Cup debut.

JAROMIR BOHACIK - Brose Bamberg

FORWARD

Birth date: May 26, 1992 (30 years old)
Height: 197cm / 6'6"
Nationality: CZE

Bohacik averaged 15.3 points per game at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 and has also played in two FIBA EuroBasket tournaments as well as the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. A reliable scorer at all levels, the Czech international joins Bamberg following a number of years playing in the Basketball Champions League with ERA Nymburk as well as SIG Strasbourg.

DAMYEAN DOTSON - Gaziantep

GUARD

Birth date: May 6, 1994 (28 years old)
Height: 196cm / 6'5"
Nationality: USA

Dotson is another player that has headed to Europe for the first time after 200+ games played in the NBA since 2017 across two different spells with New York Knicks as well as Cleveland Cavaliers. The 28-year-old will also have a big impact on the defensive end and could play an important role for Gaziantep as they compete in FIBA Europe Cup for the first time.

ARCHIE GOODWIN - BC Budivelnyk Kyiv

GUARD

Birth date: August 17, 1994 (28 years old)
Height: 196cm / 6'5"
Nationality: USA

Goodwin has the potential to be one of the leading scorers in the competition having displayed his offensive output across Europe and America. The 28-year-old averaged 16+ points per game for the club in a short spell last season before increasing his scoring in Israel with the former first round NBA Draft pick in 2013 returning to BC Budivelnyk Kyiv.

CHARLON KLOOF - FC Porto

POINT GUARD

Birth date: March 20, 1990 (32 years old)
Height: 185cm / 6'1"
Nationality: NED

Another player familiar with the competition, Kloof is back for another season in Portugal with Porto. The experienced 32-year-old averaged 12.5 points and 4.6 assists per game with a best of 27 points during the Regular Season and also competed at FIBA EuroBasket 2022 with Netherlands - a reunion with teammates awaits with Heroes Den Bosch also in Group C.

NIMROD LEVI - Hapoel Galil Eilon

SMALL FORWARD

Birth date: March 24, 1995 (27 years old)
Height: 206cm / 6'9"
Nationality: ISR

Levi has fond memories of the FIBA Europe Cup having won the title with Ironi Ness Ziona in the 2020-21 season. The Israeli international scored 21 points in the Final triumph and recently competed at FIBA EuroBasket 2022 with the national team as they missed out on the knockout stages. Levi adds vital experience for the competition newcomers.

MARCUS LOVETT - Sporting CP

POINT GUARD

Birth date: March 4, 1996 (26 years old)
Height: 183cm / 6'0"
Nationality: USA

LoVett lit up the Qualifiers as the leading scorer with 57 points across two games in helping Sporting win the tournament in Mitrovica, Kosovo. The American guard fired in 32 points in the Final triumph over Telenet Giants Antwerp with the perfect introduction to the competition as the Portuguese side embark on another venture into the Regular Season.

ASBJORN MIDTGAARD - HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim

CENTER

Birth date: September 20, 1997 (25 years old)
Height: 209cm / 6'10"
Nationality: DEN

Midtgaard was one of the standout performers in last season's competition after helping ZZ Leiden to the Semi-Finals. The Danish center ranked fourth in the efficiency charts and put up 14.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, but has since made a summer switch to Germany to bolster HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim as they make a second FIBA Europe Cup appearance.

KRIS RICHARD - CSM CSU Oradea

SHOOTING GUARD

Birth date: March 1, 1989 (33 years old)
Height: 193cm / 6'4"
Nationality: ROU

Richard has plenty of experience both with Oradea and in FIBA Europe Cup action having already played in the competition in three previous seasons. The Romanian international averaged 18.8 points per game during the 2018-19 edition and is still playing a key role for the side with 12.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per outing last season.

CHRISTIAN SENGFELDER - Brose Bamberg

POWER FORWARD

Birth date: February 28, 1995 (27 years old)
Height: 200cm / 6'7"
Nationality: GER

Sengfelder was part of Germany's roster that earned a bronze medal at FIBA EuroBasket 2022 and has been with Bamberg since 2019. The 27-year-old has been a consistent scorer at both club and international level - leading the team in scoring in last season's BBL with 15.8 points per game with 41.6 percent shooting from three-point range.
