MUNICH (Germany) - CSM CSU Oradea took a step towards the Quarter-Finals while Telenet Giants Antwerp ended their losing run in Saturday's FIBA Europe Cup action.

Oradea moved into joint top spot in Group K as they secured their third win by beating Trefl Sopot 83-73 on the road. Nikola Markovic contributed an all-round display with 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting along with 5 rebounds and 6 assists, while Kris Richard posted 16 points and 5 assists.

The hosts opened with a 7-0 run, but a close encounter prevailed with just two points separating the two teams heading into the final quarter. However, Oradea made their move with a 13-2 burst at the start of the fourth to take control of the contest.

Meanwhile, Antwerp used a strong third quarter performance as a platform for their 83-70 victory at home to Kyiv-Basket. Elvar Fridriksson top-scored with a 22-point haul with 5 assists as the Belgian side improved to 1-4 in Group J.

It's a blow for Kyiv-Basket as despite their half-time lead, they missed out on a chance to edge closer to the last eight. Avery Woodson had 16 points for the visitors, who were undone by a 12-3 run in the third.

The action continues on Tuesday as two games take place before six are scheduled on Wednesday with six Quarter-Final spots still up for grabs.
