Serbia booked only their second-ever appearance in the title game with a dramatic 64-58 overtime triumph against Italy. As they did in the Quarter-Finals, they started slowly and produced an improved second-half.

Marija Stojanovic took care defensively of Lorela Cubaj which was critical and added 13 points, with Teodora Turudic adding an all-action 15 points 5 boards, 4, steals and 3 assists
Spain threw a defensive blanket over Netherlands who were suffocated 52-64 and that means the reigning champions have made a 9th consecutive Final .
As usual, it was a team effort from the holders, with nine different scorers and Laia Sole standing out with a smart 14 points in just 16 minutes, while Naia Caceres went to work on the glass with 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Aina Ayuso was instrumental in killing off a potential Netherlands rescue mission with some huge plays at the start of the fourth period.
Elsewhere, there was despair for Croatia and Slovakia as they lost their survival battles and both went spinning into Division B. Croatia were hammered 97-51 by Russia, while Slovakia were also comfortably beaten 57-84 by Slovenia as Aleksandra Kroselj fired a classy 26 points.
Russia and Slovenia, who met in the initial Group Phase, will now fight it out on the last day for the final precious Division A ticket for next year. Slovenia won that previous meeting, 84-71.
