Day 7: Can Greece triumph at home or will it be a first gold for Israel?

CRETE (FIBA U20 European Championship 2017) - Hosts Greece will be looking to celebrate their first FIBA U20 European Championship in eight years when they face Israel in the Final.

Inspired by their home fans, Greece stunned reigning champions Spain in the Semi-Finals with a physical display. In the Final, they will face an unbeaten Israel, who were ruthlessly efficient in their upset victory over France in Saturday's Semi-Final. Well led by star point guard Tamir Blatt, Israel are undersized but play relentlessly and precisely. The Final looms as a mouthwatering affair and the perfect finale for the tournament.

At the other end of the spectrum, there is much at stake in Classification 13-14 with the loser of Italy and Slovenia to be relegated to Division B. Both teams had stirring must-win victories on Day 6 and will be fighting hard to stay in Division A.

After upset losses in the Semi-Finals, Spain and France will be looking for the consolation prize of finishing third with the Spaniards having not missed out on a podium finish in the past decade.

After heartbreaking losses on Day 6, Latvia and the Czech Republic have been relegated to Division B and will be playing for pride in Classification 15-16. Montenegro and Sweden will battle in Classification 11-12, while Turkey and Ukraine fight for 9th place.

Germany and Iceland, who both lost on Day 6, will battle it out in Classification 7-8, while Lithuania and Serbia will be vying for 5th place.
