Day 6: Can Greece overcome Spain in the Semi-Finals?

CRETE (FIBA U20 European Championship 2017) - Hosts Greece will be seeking inspiration from their beloved fans when they face reigning champions Spain in the Semi-Finals on Day 6.

Unbeaten Greece have struggled in their past three encounters but have been ignited by their loud home crowd late in the games. In their Quarter-Final against Lithuania, Greece trailed by 15 points late in the third quarter before running over the top. However, they will need to be at their best if they are to beat Spain, who are playing in their 11th consecutive FIBA U20 European Championship Semi-Final.

In the other Semi-Final, a confident France will be aiming to continue their hot form when they face Israel. In a clash between two unbeaten teams, France will start favorites after their Quarter-Final thrashing of Serbia. Led by star point guard Tamir Blatt, Israel can't be discounted and have played with passion and energy throughout.

Meanwhile, in the classification games, Slovenia and Latvia will do battle for Classification 13-16, looking to avoid relegation to Division B. Slovenia are coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss to Montenegro on Day 5, while Latvia were comprehensively outplayed by Turkey.

Italy and the Czech Republic will also play in Classification 13-16 action on Day 6. Italy are coming off a disappointing fadeout to Sweden on Day 5, while the Czech Republic were gallant but outclassed by Ukraine.

In Classification 9-12, Montenegro will play in-form Turkey - with both teams having played an overtime classic in the Group Phase - while Sweden face Ukraine.

In Classification 5-8 action, Lithuania take on Germany, while Iceland play Serbia.
