Spain and Serbia faced off in the battle of the big names, and it was a game to remember, especially if you're Iyana Martin. The Spanish point guard exploded for 28 points, shooting 12-of-16 from the field, with 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals to her name, giving her an efficiency valuation of 38 - game-high by some distance.
Portugal's center Clara Silva picked up another double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds, hitting 13-of-14 from the free throw line to get a grand total of 35 in the efficiency tab. Six of her rebounds were on the offensive end, while the entire Italian team had just one more.
Finland saw the first 30+ point performance of the event. Alicia Courthiau was a +32 on the day with 17 points, 5 steals, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and efficiency rating of 23 as Belgium bounced back from their opening day defeat by leading from start to finish against Lithuania.
