France vs. Spain proved to be a popular Final on Sunday, with the two nations also contesting the title game of the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship. In Senec, Slovak Republic, it was also Les Bleues to stand atop the podium following a 2-1 triumph, rounding out a golden night for France. Junior basketball international Bathiste Tchouaffe paid tribute to his peers in both sports. The future of French basketball and football seems to be in good hands (and feet)...

In a remake of last year's Final, Spain had to settle for silver this time around, but with the initial disappointment settling, congratulations came in for yet another silverware at youth level. The Spanish players can expect a warm welcome in any case.
