Exciting mix for Germany makes them promotion frontrunners
HAGEN (FIBA U18 Women's European Championship Division B) – It would be a major surprise if Germany did not push hard for promotion when they step out at the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship Division B.
Having reached the Final of the FIBA U16 Women's European Championship last summer and with several of those silver medalists in the mix having moved up, their prospects in Ireland look particularly strong – even if there is a huge field of other nations eyeing up the top flight.

Luisa Geiselsoder was crowned MVP in Udine last year as Germany reached their first-ever youth Final and she is one of the headline names in the wider squad. She is joined by her history-making teammates Jenny Strozyk, Jessika Schiffer and Leonie Rosemeyer.
The candidate list also incorporates Paula Kohl who enjoyed a highly productive campaign at last year's edition of the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship Division B in Sarajevo. Meanwhile, the supremely talented Nyara Sabally could be back too, having spent last year on the sidelines with an injury.
Before heading to Ireland, the players will attend a camp and play warm-up games against Poland and Slovak Republic.
Germany have been drawn in Group B against Albania, Austria, Belarus, Denmark and Iceland.
