    Panagiota Kyriakou named MVP in Chisinau to lead All-Star Five

    CHISINAU (Moldova) - Panagiota Kyriakou took home Most Valuable Player honors to go with leading Cyprus to FIBA U16 Women's European Championship, Division C gold.

    CHISINAU (Moldova) - Panagiota Kyriakou took home Most Valuable Player honors to go with leading Cyprus to FIBA U16 Women's European Championship, Division C gold.

    The 16-year-old guard saved her best performance of the tournament for the Final, with a 21-point haul to help her side ease past Georgia. Kyriakou was joined in the All-Star Five by teammate Ioanna Kyprianou as she led Cyprus in scoring with 13.8 points per game along with 6.8 rebounds.

    Georgia's Keso Barbakadze was dominant as the leader in points and rebounds with incredible averages of 19.3 points and 21.0 rebounds through five games in helping her nation earn silver.

    Also making the all-tournament lineup were Taryn Cummins after Scotland secured bronze and Oluwafumnilola Oduwaiye of Wales as they finished in 5th.
