ANDORRA LA VELLA (FIBA U16 European Championship 2017, Division C) - Gibraltar and Armenia celebrated wins in Group A of the FIBA U16 European Championship 2017, Division C, while Azerbaijan clinched a Play-Off berth in Group B.
Gibraltar moved their mark to 2-1 in the standings following an 84-67 win over Malta, orchestrated by Alejandro Garcia Tejon, who had a rock-solid performance collecting 27 points, 23 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals.

The Georgii Shakhnazarov-led Armenia stayed undefeated after earning a one-sided 78-37 victory against Moldova, with the shooting guard leading the way with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
Azerbaijan secured a spot in the next round by improving to a 3-0 record with a 90-62 hammering of San Marino, with Papuna Kirtadze scoring a tournament-high 34 points and grabbing 15 boards.
Jabrayil Akbarov added a double-double of 23 points, 16 rebounds and 3 blocks, with Tsotne Nodia posting 18 points, 16 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals.

Meanwhile, Albania entered the fourth quarter of the game against the Principality of Monaco up by 19 points, but wasted their double-digit lead to only edge their opponents 70-66 after a late fightback.
