Saint-Supery leads All-Star Five as tournament MVP
SKOPJE (North Macedonia) - There was consolation for Mario Saint-Supery after landing the FIBA U16 European Championship MVP award after an impressive tournament for Spain.
Saint-Supery, who poured in 31 points in Saturday's Final as Spain were beaten by Lithuania, shone bright throughout the week in Skopje and averaged 21.9 points, 6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.7 steals per contest.
Lithuania's Nojus Indrusaitis helped lead his team to the title having contributed 16.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game to earn a place in the All-Star Five alongside collecting a winer's medal.
Ben Avraham Saraf earned a spot in the lineup after leading the tournament in scoring with 24.3 points per game for Israel with four scores of 28+ points in helping his side finish in 5th place.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Diakite finished with tournament averages of 9.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game as the most efficient performer for bronze medalists France and Greece forward Neoklis Avdalas rounds out the lineup having put up 14.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 assists per game across the seven appearances.
