ANTAKYA (EuroLeague Women) - There was home court joy for Hatay as they arguably collected the best result of their short EuroLeague Women history, while Beretta Famila Schio hit a winning note again.

ANTAKYA (EuroLeague Women) - There was home court joy for Hatay as they arguably collected the best result of their short EuroLeague Women history, while Beretta Famila Schio hit a winning note to end their worrying losing streak.

The locals in Antakya were left thrilled as Hatay moved to 3-6 for the season with a nail-biting but exciting 68-64 win against Perfumerias Avenida. It was Belarusian wing Katsiaryna Snytsina and powerhouse center Courtney Paris who provided the foundation for a memorable triumph.

Snytsina fired a game-high 22 points, while her team-mate provided yet another double-double with 15 points and 18 rebounds as they condemned Avenida to a losing 4-5 record.

Meanwhile after four straight losses, Italian giants Beretta Famila Schio returned to winning ways as they outpaced CMB Cargo Uni Gyor 91-46 on the road.

While the result was in the balance at the interval, the visitors posted a stellar 28-6 third quarter to soar away towards victory, before eventually cruising over the finishing line.

Veteran Laura Macchi had a six-of-seven shooting display for 17 points, while Endene Miyem shot 70% for her 15 points.

Schio are now 4-5 for the season, with Gyor 1-8 and yet to win on home soil.
