There was relief for Tango Bourges Basket as they ended their worrying four-game losing streak with a 68-55 success against Hatay and that was helped by a nice buzzer beater at the end of the opening period by Miljana Bojovic.

Now back to winning ways, Les Bleues national team wing Diandra Tchatchouang is setting her sights high for the coming weeks!

There was an extra special feeling for Nadezhda head coach Roberto Iniguez and point guard Cristina Ouvina as they returned to their homeland to secure a 64-49 win against Perfumerias Avenida who hadn’t been previously beaten on their home floor.

"I am very proud of my team-mates as many of them had not had any days off during Christmas, because they played in the Russian Cup," stated Ouvina.

"We showed we are very strong. They started at a high defensive level, but we worked very well to adapt to it.

"We were very focused to take the win and so I am very happy."

Coach Iniguez added, "I am very happy because we have a lot of EuroLeague Women rookies, and we executed the game plan perfectly.

"We did a great job defensively. The game was very tough and the final score doesn't show the reality."

Nadezhda’s players celebrated with a trip to the beautiful Plaza Mayor in the center of Salamanca.

And, while disappointed with the result, the Avenida fans at Pabellon Wurzburg showed their qualities by donating toys for charity.

Fenerbahce exacted revenge on Mersin for a domestic league loss last month by winning 89-73. Birsel Vardarli Demirmen handed out ten assists and said, "I’m happy it was a hard game and especially in the first half.

"We showed good hustle and we didn't give up. We showed a very good fight on the court to win."

France national team wing Valeriane Ayayi was thrilled with her side ESBVA-LM winning a crunch game 72-62 at Uniqa Sopron.

Finally, everyone has been talking about the fabulous and thrilling game in the Czech capital as ZVVZ USK Prague came from behind to take a dramatic 74-73 triumph against Beretta Famila Schio.

"During the last five minutes, we changed the style and we played more lively with better defense," mused Prague play-caller, Natalia Hejkova.

"I think we deserved the victory, because before Christmas, we played two games with an unlucky ending, so this time the luck was on our side.

"I am also happy that the girls were still fighting until the end and the last plays were executed perfectly.

"We were leading for only five seconds, but it was enough to win the game," she added.
