MUNICH (EuroCup Women) - We catch up with some of those involved in the EuroCup Women Round of 8 second leg match-ups and see how it played out on social media.

The overwhelming theme has been three Turkish teams taking spots in the Quarter-Finals, including Bellona Agu who hit back from their first loss of the season at Spar Citylift Girona to coast to a 85-54 second leg win.

"I want to thank the fans because it was a great atmosphere on the court and they were really with us," said Agu head coach, Ayhan Avci.

"It was a good victory as we played bad during the first game and we weren't that well prepared as we played without understanding that Girona are a good team.

"Now I know my players have realized this and they displayed a great performance to have a 30-point difference like this which is important as we want to live much longer in the tournament."

There was also joy for Yakin Dogu Universitesi who were also behind after the first leg, but rode to a commanding 66-45 victory against Reyer Venezia. The success was built around 21 points from Courtney Vandersloot and also Kayla McBride who got a shout out from a women's basketball legend.

Galatasaray were the third team to make it from Turkey as they took a hard-fought 68-66 success against Virtus Eirene Ragusa. That was enough to delight a proud Isil Alben.

Good Angels Kosice booked their place in the Quarter-Finals by winning 77-70 at VBW CEKK Cegled which made it a comfortable situation, having won the first game by 15 points.

"We didn't start that well in the first quarter as they had a good defense in the first half," reflected Kosice playmaker, Teja Oblak.

"After that, we had to be better under the basket and I am really happy that we won.

"I also hope that we will go even further and I have extra thanks for our fans who travelled to the game to watch us."

Meanwhile a superb first campaign in the competition is now over for relative minnows Cegled, who came through the Qualifiers, Regular Season and Round of 16 to exceed all expectations.

"I am so proud of my team, that we came to this moment," said Hugnary national team guard, Dora Medgyessy.

"It was phenomenal to play like this for our fans and while Good Angels Kosice were the better team, we did everything that we could and for that alone, we have no reason to be sad."
