IZMIR (EuroCup Women/EuroLeague Women) - Yakin Dogu Universitesi have made a major statement of intent after taking a first-ever piece of silverware by lifting the Turkish Cup with a stunning 77-61 win against Bellona Agu.

MCBRIDE AND HOLLINGSWORTH UNSTOPPABLE

UMMC HIT BACK AGAINST NADEZHDA
After losing in their previous Russian Premier League game against Dynamo Kursk, there was no mistake this time around by reigning champions UMMC Ekaterinburg who swept aside fellow EuroLeague Women Quarter-Finalists Nadezhda.

Ekaterinburg soared to an 89-57 triumph as Emma Meesseman returned from injury to fire 20 points and was just one rebound shy of a double-double.

SCHIO SPECTACULARLY SUNK BY RAGUSA
While it has been a great start to his reign at Beretta Famila Schio for recently appointed head coach Mauro Pocaccini, the wheels came off over the weekend as they crashed 78-52 in the Italian League at Passalacqua Ragusa.

The towering Erlana Larkins was the difference-maker with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Italian national team wing Chiara Consolini posted a nice cameo with 15 points.

BLMA BACK ON TOP IN FRANCE
BLMA are back in pole position in the LFB after registering one of their best performances and results of the season as they won 75-58 at former leaders Flammes Carolo Basket. Gaelle Skrela and Kristen Mann led the way with 14 and 13 points respectively.

ESBVA-LM are still chasing hard in third place after winning a thriller 83-80 at Basket Landes as Alina Iagupova and Valeriane Ayayi combined for a stellar 50 points.

Tango Bourges also dug out a precious road victory as they outlasted Nantes Reze 69-65 off the back of 16 points from Marine Johannes.

Earlier in the week, Bourges reached the 2017 French Cup Final and will meet Carolo Basket, with the winners grabbing the prize of a EuroLeague Women ticket.
