MUNICH (Germany) - The Regular Season curtain came down on Tuesday night with Casademont Zaragoza, Perfumerias Avenida and Villeneuve d'Ascq LM all celebrating stepping into the last eight of the competition.
They all got the wins needed to take the last remaining berths available in the Quarter-Finals and inflict particular disappointment for Virtus Segafredo Bologna, Valencia Basket Club and KGHM BC Polkowice who had all still been in with a chance of progressing heading into the final day.
History at the first attempt for Zaragoza
They've experienced a wobble in recent weeks, but a massive crowd watched EuroLeague Women newcomers Casademont Zaragoza move into the Quarter-Finals in style as they sped past Polski Cukier AZS UMCS Lublin 96-49. The result was never in doubt after the hosts made a statement from the tip-off with a stunning 25-6 first quarter.
As has become common, it was Leonie Fiebich and Mariona Ortiz who led the way. Stepping off court to chants of 'MVP! MVP!' German star Fiebich finished with 19 points, while playmaker Ortiz had 8 assists and 5 steals. It was also a good time for Nerea Hermosa to make her best contribution to date with 16 points and 6 assists.
Pabellon Wurzburg jumping as Avenida make post-season
Finishing the Regular Season with a flourish and three victories was enough to transform the Quarter-Finals outlook of Perfumerias Avenida as they made it by locking down Serco UNI Gyor 56-42. The home fans loved seeing their team punch a ticket as they recovered from a slow start to take control with a 21-8 second quarter.

They never had cause to glance back, with both Sika Kone and Laura Gil doing good work in the frontcourt. Mali star Kone landed a double-double of 16 points and 12 boards, while Gil did the business with 20 points and 7 boards.
Villeneuve win shootout with Polkowice
This was the Game of the Week and it was Villeneuve d'Ascq LM who continued their outstanding form on their home floor to get the job done 85-72 against KGHM BC Polkowice to move into the Quarter-Finals and deny their opponents that feat.

It was not until later in the contest they decisively snapped the contest open and eased clear. They were helped with some stunning outside shooting as they made it rain with 14 triples. Despite 24 points from Brianna Fraser for Polkowice, the all-around team contributions mattered for the French side who had double-digit scoring returns from Kennedy Burke, Janelle Salaun, Kamiah Smalls and were led by 19 points from Shavone Zellous.
