Which player had the best EuroLeague Women performance of 2023?

MUNICH (Germany) - There have been some stunning individual EuroLeague Women displays during the calendar year, with six standout performances in contention to be voted as the best of 2023.

You can cast your vote below to let us know who you think did it best.

But first, here's everything you need to know about the leading contenders for that accolade.

BREANNA STEWART (Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding) - January 11, 2023

Game:
Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding 91-71 Atomeromu KSC Szekszard (Regular Season)
Statistics: 30 PTS, 70% FG, 17 REB, 2 AST - 41 EFF

This was not just Stewart producing the best performance efficiency valuation of the year. At the time, it was another warning shot of what was to follow and a statement of intent by the forward. Typically unstoppable and influential, this classy and devastating performance left Szekszard trailing in her wake and they had no answer to that 30 points and 17 boards. But they wouldn't be the only club last season that were cut to shreds by the superstar.

KRISTINE ANIGWE (Serco UNI Gyor) - October 4, 2023

Game:
Villeneuve d'Ascq LM  93-92 Serco UNI Gyor (Regular Season)
Statistics: 27 PTS, 16 REB, 4 AST, 2 STL - 38 EFF

Back in the top tier competition for the first time in a while, Serci UNI Gyor were looking for a leading contributor and the physical presence of the Great Britain center provided it as Anigwe went off. Her sensational effort in this game was memorable in many ways, although unfortunately one of them was because it came in a gut-wrenching overtime loss for her team. But she could barely have done any more to inspire a first victory of the season.

MEGAN GUSTAFSON (Olympiacos) - January 25, 2023

Game:
Olympiacos SFP 87-68 Atomeromu KSC Szekszard (Regular Season)
Statistics: 32 PTS, 67% FG, 10 REB, 3 STL, 2 BLK - 37 EFF

Last season it was a case of death, taxes and Megan Gustafson standing out for Olympiacos SFP. The forward was so consistently impressive and while her team often scrambled for victories, this was a case when her trademark marquee performance led them to a win. She used the platform she had to showcase her talent and this was a double-double so typical of her play during the campaign for the Greek side.

BREANNA STEWART (Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding) - April 16, 2023

Game:
Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding 99-60 CBK Mersin Yenisehir Bld (Final)
Statistics: 35 PTS, 6 REB, 3 AST, 2 STL - 36 EFF

While this was not quite as good as her earlier effort in terms of the performance efficiency valuation, it could not have come at a more important time or been in a bigger EuroLeague Women game. Stewart was simply unreal as she led Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding to a first-time title success with an epic contribution, in what proved to be a one-sided Final against CBK Mersin Yenisehir Bld. She dominated from tip to buzzer as her 35 points in the bank demonstrates.

EMMA MEESSEMAN (Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding) - November 22, 2023

Game:
Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding 110-63 ACS Sepsi-SIC (Regular Season)
Statistics: 20 PTS, 75% FG, 10 REB, 10 AST - 36 EFF

Having made history with Fenerbahce in Praha and then racked up a maiden FIBA Women's EuroBasket Women crown with Belgium, Meesseman inevitably bounced back into the new EuroLeague Women season on a high. She was too much for ACS Sepsi-SIC as she inked a 9 of 12 shooting effort on her way to another majestic triple-double - having famously achieved that feat in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket Women Quarter-Finals a few months earlier.

MARIONA ORTIZ (Casademont Zaragoza) - November 29, 2023

Game:
Polski Cukier AZS UMCS Lublin 42-64 Casademont Zaragoza (Regular Season)
Statistics: 18 PTS, 80% FG, 10 REB, 7 AST, 5 STL - 36 EFF

One of the biggest stories of the current EuroLeague Women season, the rise and rise of newcomers Casademont Zaragoza has been an amazing fairytale so far as they now eye up a place in the Quarter-Finals. At the heart of their success has been teamwork and defense, but once in a while, one of their players has pulled out a huge performance. For playmaker Mariona Ortiz, that came against Lublin when she put in a brilliant all-action display.
