MVP award for Meesseman after lighting it up in January

MUNICH (Germany) - Emma Meesseman has been named the EuroLeague Women MVP for January after an exceptional month with the high flying Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding.

The Belgian ace takes the award after producing some fantastic performances during the period, all of which carried the Turkish juggernauts to a perfect five wins in as many games - booking their spot in the Quarter-Finals as a result.

Meesseman firstly catapulted her team past BC Polkowice 111-61 with a stunning 11 of 13 shooting effort which returned 25 points. Then, she went an even better and jaw-dropping 12 of 13 from the field in the next game as 25 points helped take down Atomeromu KSC Szekszard 91-71.

After a smart 11 points and 9 rebounds in a 92-58 triumph at Olympiacos SFP, she showed out again in the 95-73 win against Virtus Segafredo Bologna with 22 points and 6 rebounds, this time making 10 of 13 field goal attempts.

Wrapping up a productive month, Meesseman played a cameo as Fenerbahce became the first team to make the post-season with 12 points and 4 assists in a 73-66 victory over ZVVZ USK Praha.

Those five January displays combined to produce a performance efficiency valuation of 25.6; founded on 19.0 points, 6.2 boards, and 2.8 assists per game.
