With 14 clubs already confirmed for the Regular Season, there are two spaces left and these will be contested by six clubs in the Qualifiers. They are separated into two groups and are hosted in Schio (Italy) and Sfantu Gheorghe (Romania), with the winners of each pool advancing to the EuroLeague Women Regular Season. The four clubs who miss out will move to spots in the EuroCup Women Regular Season.

Can playcaller Zoran Mikes guide ACS Sepsi-Sic to their first ever EuroLeague Women Regular Season?

History / Tradition

ACS Sepsi-Sic (ROM) - The Romanian powerhouse is yet to appear in the Regular Season and fell short in the Qualifiers last year. They made up for it by making history and reaching the EuroCup Women Quarter-Finalst for the first time.

Kayseri Basketbol SK (TUR) - The Turkish city of Kayseri has witnessed EuroLeague Women Regular Season ball three times previously when playing as Agu Spor. They featured in the 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2016-17 campaigns.

KSC Szekszard (HUN) - The ambitious Hungarian side is chasing down a first ever appearance in the Regular Season having not managed to previously get past the Qualifiers. However, they did show their quality in a big way last year by making the Semi-Finals of EuroCup Women for the first time.

Three key performers for each team

Renata Brezinova will be an important physical presence under the basket for Kayseri Basketbol

ACS Sepsi-Sic (ROM) - Montenegrin guard Jovana Pasic has been on fire in the past year or so and that hot streak has shown again in recent friendly games. Shaqwedia Wallace has been drafted in late to boost the teams options after Aaliyah Wilson was ruled out due to her WNBA commitments. They will also rely heavily on forward Brianna Fraser.

Kayseri Basketbol SK (TUR) - Brooque Williams is a dynamic and hard working guard with bags of know-how, while Czech national team center Renata Brezinova will drop anchor inside. Ensuring there is quality on the wings and connecting her two teammates will be Swedish forward Farhiya Abdi.

KSC Szekszard (HUN) - The towering presence in the paint of Nikolina Milic and Cyesha Goree gives KSC Szekszard plenty of physicality and they will be looking to control the glass. The two bigs also offer rare experience on the roster. Meanwhile the shooting prowess of Zala Friskovec could be a factor in firing them to the next stage.

Group B, Schio

French legend Sandrine Gruda will be trying to keep Schio's proud run of Regular Season participation intact

History / Tradition

Valencia BC (ESP) - The fairytale is continuing for Valencia, who up until only a few years ago were in the second tier of Spanish basketball. They are looking for a first ever Regular Season spot, coming off the back of their historic EuroCup Women title last season.

Beretta Famila Schio (ITA) - Even if they have never won silverware. the Italian side has been more or less ever present in EuroLeague Women during the past couple of decades or so. Missing out this time would hurt considerably, as you would have to rewind back to 2007-08 to find the last time they had to settle for a EuroCup Women ticket.

Tango Bourges (FRA) - Similarly to Schio, Bourges have been one of the most consistent clubs of this competition down the years and can also proudly lay claim to having won three titles in 1997. 1998 and 2001.

Three key performers for each team

Queralt Casas was the MVP of last season's EuroCup Women Final Four and is back for Valencia BC

Valencia BC (ESP) - Casas always brings the energy to the floor and has saved some of the best basketball of her career for when she played in Valencia colors. Her Spanish national team colleagues Raquel Carrera and Cristina Ouvina will also be key. The former will be looking to push on from her brilliant debut EuroCup Women season last year and will have learned much from this past summer at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket and the Tokyo Games. Meanwhile Ouvina sets the tone with her hard-nosed play in the backcourt and is an absolute veteran rock for her team.

Beretta Famila Schio (ITA) - French legend Sandrine Gruda remains a colossus and it was no surprise she made the Team of the Season last year in the competition. The center will be the go-to baller for Schio. Meanwhile the offensive production from Belgian standout Kim Mestdagh and the veteran know-how of fellow guard Giorgia Sottana will be hugely important too.

Tango Bourges (FRA) - Swedish playmaker Elin Eldebrink will continue to pull the strings from the backcourt and toether with Sarah Michel in the two or three spot, they will make sure Bourges are a tough nut to crack. The return of the warrior-like Endy Miyem in the frontcourt makes that even more the case.

In just 12 words

French NT guard Sarah Michel and her quick hands are a power for Bourges who always bring the defense

Valencia BC (ESP) - Will they continue their momentum or will their EuroLeague Women dream evaporate?

Beretta Famila Schio (ITA) - Will the veteran experience of Gruda, Sottana and Mestdagh make the difference?

Tango Bourges (FRA) - They always bring the defense, but is there enough firepower to advance?

Schedule:

Tuesday September 21, 19:30 (CET) - Valencia BC v Beretta Famila Schio
Wednesday September 22, 19.30 (CET) - Beretta Famila Schio v Tango Bourges
Thursday September 22, 18:00 (CET) - Tango Bourges v Valencia BC
