MUNICH (Germany) - Maria Vadeeva was the standout EuroLeague Women player during Week 2 of Regular Season action after producing a stellar showing for UMMC Ekaterinburg at both ends of the floor.

The Russian national team leader posted a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds in a tough 75-69 win at home to Umana Reyer, also coming up with 5 big blocks in the contest.

Bernadett Hatar of Sopron Basket and Alice Kunek of VBW Arka Gdynia were inseperable when it came to their individual performances this week, even if the former gained the upper hand by taking victory against her rival. The pair each achieved an efficiency rating of 30 in the same game, which Sopron Basket won 86-71.

Hatar finished the contest with a classy double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, shooting almost 70 percent from the floor. The Hungarian center also did the business defensively with 3 steals and 2 blocks.

Meanwhile Australian star Kunek tried to rally her team by putting up 23 points, passing the rock an eye-catching 11 times.and also adding 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

It was a disappointing night for Galatasaray as they missed a glorious opportunity to take a first victory of the season in going down 78-76 at Dynamo Kursk.

Despite just missing out, there was at least some positives in that Tina Krajisnik and Pelin Bilgic both continued their productive starts to the campaign.

Serbian center Krajisnik amassed 26 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists, while Turkish guard Bilgic also completed a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists - as well as coming up with 4 steals.
