Range of EuroLeague Women Quarter-Finals dates expands

MUNICH (Germany) - The eight teams that will advance to the Quarter-Finals of the EuroLeague Women 2021-22 season will be offered three different options of dates to play their series.

MUNICH (Germany) - The eight teams that will advance to the Quarter-Finals of the EuroLeague Women 2021-22 season will be offered three different options of dates to play their series, after the FIBA Europe Executive Committee approved a relevant change to the competition's calendar on Monday.

The changes were deemed necessary as the multiple postponed games due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic could potentially create scheduling issues for participating teams.

The first option will be to follow the official calendar of the competition, with the first game of the best-of-three series taking place on March 8, the second on March 11 and Game 3 (if needed) on March 16.

Clubs can instead agree to follow a second or third option. The second option would see  Game 1 taking place on March 9, Game 2 on March 15 and a potential Game 3 on March 18.

The  third option, which is only possible if the pairing is known in advance, would set the corresponding dates a week apart form each other, on March 2, March 9 and March 16 respectively.

The Final Four dates remain the same as initially scheduled, as the season-ending tournament is set to take place from April 8-10, 2022.
