Sabally seals Top Performer status with spectacular debut

MUNICH (Germany) - Debutante Satou Sabally wasted no time in showing her talents as she erupted in her first EuroLeague Women outing to take Top Performer honors for Gameday 1.

The athleticism and scoring power of the new jewel in the Fenerbahce crown was clear to see as she went to work against ZVVZ USK Praha with a stunning 30 points and 11 rebounds. 

The display led her team to a 77-70 statement win and she is joined in the line-up by teammate Jasmine Thomas who also impressed. The guard claimed a vibrant 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals.

French national team center Helena Ciak could barely miss as she posted a towering display for LDLC ASVEL Feminin as they cruised past Arka Gdynia 89-57. She was a force in the paint and converted 8-of-9 from the floor for 17 points, as well as completing a double-double with 10 boards. Meanwhile Aleksandra Crvendakic also impressed for the Lyon-based club with 21 points and 5 rebounds.

Elsewhere, Anastasia Logunova was the main architect of a surprise opening day victory for Nadezhda as they slipped past Dynamo Kursk 77-74. The forward was the difference-maker with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
