Home comforts for Schio, Girona and Nadezhda

MUNICH (Germany) - It was more treat than trick for the three home teams on Thursday evening as Famila Schio, Spar Citylift Girona and Nadezhda all recorded Halloween night victories.

Famila Schio impressed as they saw off LDLC Asvel Feminin 69-59 to move to 2-1, with Sandrine Gruda shooting the lights out en-route to 20 points.

Schio will also be buoyed by the fact that Diamond DeShields belatedly showed why she was one of the biggest signings in the competition during the off season. After misfiring in Schio's two opening contests, she showed her class this time around with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Spar Citylift Girona as they chose Halloween night to record a first EuroLeague Women success since 2015. The home fans at Fontajau enjoyed their team inflicting a first loss of the campaign on Sopron Basket. The 64-58 win came courtesy of four players reaching double-digits, led by 16 points from Magali Mendy.

Finally, Nadezhda made it a hat-trick of home wins as they managed to grind out a 62-55 triumph against Castors Braine. It was Yvonne Turner who lit it up by adding 20 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Celeste Trahan-Davis added 10 points and 10 rebounds in defeat.
