MUNICH (Euroleague Women) - There was a first win for CCC Polkowice on a busy Wednesday night in EuroLeague Women, with three teams staying perfect and Fenerbahce getting it done in the clutch.

CCC Polkowice are celebrating their opening win of the current campaign as they got rolling with a convincing 71-52 success against Castors Braine. Tiffany Hayes led the way with 23 points and 6 boards.

A trio of clubs are all still perfect and now sitting pretty with 3-0 records. This includes ZVVZ USK Prague who came out on top 88-80 against the previously unbeaten Bourges Basket. Alyssa Thomas continued her hot streak by finishing the contest with an all-action 22 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.

Reigning champions UMMC Ekaterinburg made light work of breezing past domestic rivals Nadezhda 51-80 off the back of 23 points from a 10-of-13 shooting effort from Brittney Griner.

Dynamo Kursk were far from convincing against the winless Olympiacos as they maintained their perfect record with a hard-fought 67-73 triumph against their plucky Greek opponents.

Meanwhile Fenerbahce showed courage to respond to last week's gut-wrenching overtime loss to Avenida by showing composure in crunch time to outlast Sopron 69-67. Once again it was Anastasiya Verameyenka who excelled, with the Belarus national team anchor contributing 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Italian guard Giorgia Sottana was also quick to point out that Fenerbahce will be even more stacked on their return to action after the pending FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 Qualifiers.

She said: "Our aim was trying to keep them under 80 in their offense and we succeeded with this.

"We did a great job in the defense, especially in the second half. After the national team break, Kiah Stokes and Bria Hartley will join to the team, so we will be even stronger," added Sottana, who dropped a valuable 17 points.

Elsewhere, the sticky start to the season continued for Famila Schio as they fell 69-50 at ESBVA-LM to move to 0-3, while there was a big home success for newcomers Carolo Basket.

Having only recently taken their first ever victory in the competition, they followed it up by using home comfort once again to soar past Hatay by 90-79. There were plenty of eye-catching displays - including Queralt Casas with  14 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds, plus Amel Bouderra with 12 points and 10 assists.

Avenida impressed in the Latvian capital as some great rebounding and a couple of big veteran performances got them past TTT Riga 56-68.

Silvia Dominguez finished with 16 points and 6 assists, with Erika Souza also rolling back the years by coming up with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
