It was bitter sweet for Dearica Hamby since the forward was exceptional for Melikgazi Kayseri, but it was not enough to prevent her team from going down 87-79 at home to London Lions. She produced the highest performance efficiency valuation of the week at 31 having harvested 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists.
Two of the reasons that Hamby and Kayseri did not celebrate a victory were Megan Gustafson and Karlie Samuelson who both shone brightly for the Lions. The former went to work to return a game-high 26 points, along with 6 rebounds, while Samuelson shot the lights out for 25 points - hitting 5 shots from downtown.
Garance Rabot was the main reason that Lattes-Montpellier still have some hope of reaching the last four after she helped her team reduce what had been a 20-point gap in an eventual 73-59 defeat at Besiktas. The forward caught the eye at both ends of the court with 21 points and 4 steals.
Finally, Spar Girona produced a headline-grabbing performance to take down Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring 77-64 and it was the experience and quality of Sandra Ygueravide that mattered most. She was the pick for the home team after amassing 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
