Quarter-Finals First Leg Top Performers: Hamby, Gustafson, Samuelson, Rabot, Ygueravide

MUNICH (Germany) - The Quarter-Finals opened up with a string of standout displays from a number of leading ballers in the competition as the race for silverware gets even more intense.

You can vote for your MVP by casting your vote in the fan poll below.

It was bitter sweet for Dearica Hamby since the forward was exceptional for Melikgazi Kayseri, but it was not enough to prevent her team from going down 87-79 at home to London Lions. She produced the highest performance efficiency valuation of the week at 31 having harvested 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists.

Two of the reasons that Hamby and Kayseri did not celebrate a victory were Megan Gustafson and Karlie Samuelson who both shone brightly for the Lions. The former went to work to return a game-high 26 points, along with 6 rebounds, while Samuelson shot the lights out for 25 points - hitting 5 shots from downtown.

Garance Rabot was the main reason that Lattes-Montpellier still have some hope of reaching the last four after she helped her team reduce what had been a 20-point gap in an eventual 73-59 defeat at Besiktas. The forward caught the eye at both ends of the court with 21 points and 4 steals.

Finally, Spar Girona produced a headline-grabbing performance to take down Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring 77-64 and it was the experience and quality of Sandra Ygueravide that mattered most. She was the pick for the home team after amassing 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
