    December MVP award goes to Galatasaray standout McCowan

    MUNICH (Germany) - Powerhouse center Teaira McCowan has been rewarded for her super displays for Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring by being named EuroCup Women MVP for December.

    MUNICH (Germany) - Powerhouse center Teaira McCowan has been rewarded for her super displays for Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring by being named EuroCup Women MVP for December.

    The towering frame of the 26-year-old has been one of the features of her team's play of late and she was instrumental as the driving force behind their recent progression to the Play-Off Round 1. 

    In her first outing of the season, McCowan scored the winning basket as Galatasaray edged out InvestInTheWest Enea Gorzow 68-66 - putting up a huge 33 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists.

    The hot streak continued when she amassed an all-action 20 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in a 79-55 success against Piestanske Cajky.

    McCowan was recently in the spotlight for her stellar showings in a Turkey national team jersey during the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 Qualifiers and she transferred that form to club business.

    During December, she produced a stunning performance efficiency valuation of 33.0. That was built from an average of 26.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
