MUNICH (Germany) - The 2021-22 edition of the EuroCup Women will culminate in a Final Four tournament following alterations to the competition system that were approved by the FIBA Europe Executive Committee on Monday.

The changes were deemed necessary as the multiple postponed games due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic could potentially create scheduling issues for participating teams.

The Final Four is to be scheduled for April 5-7, 2022 and the host venue will be announced in due course.

There have also been modifications to the scheduling of the competition in the lead up to the Final Four. The Round of 8 is now set to conclude on March 2, 2022, approximately a calendar month past the initially scheduled date.

The Quarter-Finals draw will take place with the conclusion of the Round of 8 and participating teams will be offered two options for their Quarter-Final ties: The first will see them play on March 10 and March 17, while the second option would be for the two legs to take place on March 15 and March 18, respectively.

The 2021-22 competition system originally included Semi-Finals and Finals series that were to be played in a home and away format.
