MUNICH (Germany) - Saint-Amand Hainaut Basket and Valencia Basket Club SAD advanced to the next phase of EuroCup Women on Wednesday night, while Landerneau Bretagne Basket recorded a historic first victory.
Saint-Amand made it two wins in two days in Group H as they advanced to the Round of 16 off the back of a 76-63 success against Basket Hema SKW. It was a strong team effort, with Elin Gustavsson, Iva Slonsjak, Aminate Kone, Jasmine Bailey and Assitan Kone all reaching double-digits. Their opponents fell to 0-2 despite an impressive 25 points from Lut De Meyer.

Valencia Basket booked their place in the next stage by storming their way past Castors Braine 78-47, Bec Allen following up a terrific display on Gameday 1 with another fine effort as she headlined for the hosts with 21 points.
After suffering a heartbreaking one-point loss on their debut in the competition in Group E, it was second time lucky for Landerneau Bretagne Basket as they claimed their first ever EuroCup Women win. The result never looked to be in doubt after a quick-fire start against Phantoms Basket Boom put them on the front foot and they eventually cruised past the Belgians 94-44. Hortense Limouzin was the pick for Landerneau with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
In the same group, Reyer Venezia moved to the cusp of the Round of 16 with another scorching victory, once again led by Gintare Petronyte. They were far too strong for BCF Elfic Fribourg who were sunk 116-63 as Gameday 1 Top Perfomer Petronyte posted a perfect shooting night for her 19 points and also added 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
Peyton Williams of Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje claimed her second double-double in as many days
Elsewhere, there was also a touch of deja vu for Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje in Group C, as they picked up another success that was spearheaded by a double-double from center Peyton Williams. She produce an excellent shooting effort and finished the contest with 17 points and 10 rebounds in a one-sided 70-47 win against Adana Basketbol.
Meanwhile VBW CEKK Cegled boosted their hopes after an opening day loss by stunning Hatay BB 85-66. Tinara Moore stood out with a stunning 30 points, with excellent cameos from Aikaterina Sotiriou who claimed a near triple-double of 17 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists, while Mariona Ortiz racked up 10 points, 9 boards and 4 steals.

Cadi La Seu sit proudly on top of Group G after staying perfect with a hard-fought 51-45 victory against Namur. As was the case on opening day, it was Quinn Dornstauder who showed leadership as she completed a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards.
ESBVA-LM improved their chances of progressing as they got a first win by sneaking past ACS Sepsi-Sic 73-70. Veteran guard Sandra Ygueravide powered the French side to a nail-biting success, with Rebekah Gardner unfortunate to be on the losing side after adding 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
