EuroCup Women Regular Season groups finalized, hub hosts announced

MUNICH (Germany) - The EuroCup Women 2020-21 Regular Season groups and hub hosts have been confirmed following the conclusion of the Qualifiers, which saw Belgian club Namur snap up the last remaining spot in the competition.

They secured safe passage to the Regular Season phase on Thursday at the expense of debutantes BBC Grengewald Hueschtert of Luxembourg as they posted an 88-68 success, joining Tenerife (ESP) and Saint-Amand Hainaut Basket (FRA) as the teams to emerge from the Qualifiers.

Following changes to the EuroCup Women format, the Regular Season of the competition is to be played in single venue hubs in a single round-robin format from January 19-22, 2021.

The following teams have been confirmed as hosts for the respective groups bubbles: Uni Gyor (Group A - Gyor, Hungary), Orman Genclik (Group B - Ankara, Turkey), Hatay BB Spor (Group C - Antakya, Turkey), KP Brno (Group D - Brno, Czech Republic), Landerneau Bretagne Basket (Group E - Landerneau, France), ACS Sepsi-SIC (Group G - Sfantu Gheorghe, Romania) and Valencia Basket Club SAD (Groups F and H - Valencia, Spain).

Update: Valencia was confirmed as the location of the Group F bubble after an additional round of consultations with the clubs.

The Regular Season groups are as follows:

The top two clubs from each Regular Season group will advance to the Round of 16. No clubs from the EuroLeague Women Regular Season are set to join EuroCup Women for the 2020-21 season.

All subsequent phases of the competition will also be organized in single venue hubs.

The Round of 16 and Quarter-Finals fixtures will take places across four hubs, as per the Play-Off bracket, from March 16-18 and the season will conclude with a Final Four from April 9-11.
