SFANTU GHEORGHE (Romania) - Carolo Basket and BCF Elfic Fribourg took the last two remaining tickets for the last eight of Euro Cup Women on Wednesday to complete the Quarter-Finals field.

ACS Sepsi-SIC , Elazig Il Ozel Idare, ESBVA-LM, KSC Szekszard, Reyer Venezia and Valencia Basket Club SAD had all secured their respective places 24 hours earlier.

Repeating the feat of fellow Quarter-Finals first-timers ACS Sepsi-SIC and Elazig Il Ozel Idare, Fribourg left second-seeded Ramla reeling as they completed a famous and nerve-shredding 78-73 victory.

Despite Ramla star Betnijah Laney lighting it up with 30 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals, the Swiss team were not to be denied as they built a platform for victory off the back of a stellar 31 points in the first quarter.

They also benefitted from huge contributions from Abigail Fogg who harvested 20 points and 10 rebounds, Aislinn Konig also netted 20 points, while the ever-reliable Marielle Giroud came up with the goods with 10 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists.

Carolo Basket made light work of rolling over VBW CEKK Cegled as they cruised to an 81-46 win thanks mainly to Jamie Nared and Evelyn Akhator. The former had 25 points and 9 rebounds, while Akhator barely missed a shot as she gathered 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The EuroCup Women Quarter-Finals will be played on Thursday and Friday.
