SALAMANCA (Spain) - Perfumerias Avenida had little difficulty in snapping up the last remaining ticket to the EuroCup Women Quarter-Finals after racing past Sparta&K M.R.Vidnoje 92-61 at Pabellon Wurzburg.
With a road win already secured from the first leg in Russia, Avenida were far too hot to handle on their own floor, winning the tie by 43 points on aggregate.
Turning Point: There wasn't one as Avenida took control with a blistering 29-11 opening period to add to their 12-point advantage from the first meeting.

Game Heroes: Temi Fagbenle could barely miss and shot 70 percent from the field for her 16 points, also adding 7 rebounds. Meanwhile Tiffany Hayes brought the noise with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Stats Don't Lie: Avenida shot more than 51 percent from the field and you are not going to lose many basketball contests with that kind of consistent and devastating accuracy. They also crushed Sparta&K 43-27 on the glass too.
Bottom Line: Sparta&K can leave the competition proudly after a relatively deep run compared to pre-season expectations. Avenida wanted to be in EuroLeague Women and may now have to prove they could have competed at that level again, with four clubs parachuting into the EuroCup Women Quarter-Finals and likely to form a hurdle to the Spanish club taking the silverware. Avenida showed their depth and potential with another powerful performance.
What They Said: "I think all of us did a pretty good job, we enjoyed playing in this game a lot and it was showed when we were on the court." - Avenida guard, Maite Cazorla.
"There was a big difference between both teams. All of our players were focused on defense and offense, and when we are like this, it is very complicated for our opponent." - Avenida head coach, Miguel Ortega
