Denmark, Slovakia double up to 2-0; Austria blow Group J wide open
MUNICH (Germany) - Denmark and Slovakia remained unbeaten in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers Third Round, while Austria and Ireland both recorded their first wins on Wednesday.
Things are getting interesting in Group J after Austria defeated Norway 85-66, to create a three-way tie alongside Bulgaria with all three teams with a win and a loss apiece.
Austria's Bogic Vujosevic had a strong showing with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, while Erol Ersek added 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field. Norway struggled to find their three-point shot, as they only connected on 6-of-27 of their attempts in the loss.
Slovakia kept things rolling with a dominant 86-63 showing against Albania in Group I. Points off turnovers proved to be a key difference with the hosts holding a 25-1 advantage.
Four players scored in double figures for the victors, as Vladimir Brodziansky led the way with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists, while Jakub Mokran narrowly missed a double-double after posting 17 points and 9 rebounds along with 4 assists.
Iffe Lundberg and Jonas Zohore led the charge to put Denmark at 2-0 in Group H after their 82-75 victory over Kosovo. The duo combined for 39 points with Lundberg scoring 20 along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists, while Zohore had 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

Dominic Artis' 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting were not enough for Kosovo, who fell to 1-1 in the group.
Ireland then closed the day out with a 96-76 victory over Luxembourg in Group G to get off the mark. The visitors had balanced scoring as four players hit double figures led by Aidan Igiehon and Taiwo Badmus, who each racked up 20 points.
They return to action on Saturday when they host Croatia, while Bulgaria take on Norway, Switzerland face Kosovo and Romania go up against Albania.
