How to qualify

The 10 nations taking part in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers First Round were drawn into three groups, with each team playing the others in its group in home and away games in a round-robin system.

The First Round of the Pre-Qualifiers will take place in three windows on November 25-28, 2021, February 24-27, 2022, and June 30-July 3, 2022.

Four teams – the three group winners and the best-ranked second-placed team – will qualify for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers Second Round to be played in three windows in August 2022, November 2022, and February 2023.

To determine the standings within a group, all games will be taken into account.

To determine the best ranked second-placed team out of the three groups, the results against fourth-placed teams in the groups of four teams will be disregarded to compare the teams on a like-for-like basis as per the Official Basketball Rules.
