September 4 Top Performers: Valanciunas, Wagner, Vezenkov, Musa, Dragic

MUNICH (Germany) - Jonas Valanciunas produced the highest efficiency rating of FIBA EuroBasket 2022 to date in a monumental effort for Lithuania that ultimately proved in vain in Sunday's action.

Valanciunas also set the single-game tournament high for scoring with 34 points to go along with 14 rebounds and 5 assists as Lithuania fell to a 109-107 loss against Germany in a double overtime classic.

It was the hosts that were jubilant at the buzzer in Cologne as Franz Wagner played a starring role in the win with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks to keep Germany unbeaten at 3-0 in the epic encounter.

Meanwhile, Dzanan Musa makes the lineup for the second time after putting up 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead Bosnia and Herzegovina to a huge 97-93 triumph over the defending champions Slovenia.

The 2017 MVP, Goran Dragic, could not prevent a first loss at EuroBasket since 2015 for Slovenia, despite contributing 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the Group B clash.

Aleksandar Vezenkov also makes another appearance after finishing with 26 points and 8 rebounds as Bulgaria came up short in a 91-81 defeat to Montenegro in Tbilisi.
