Nurkic, Musa included as Bosnia and Herzegovina reveal squad for EuroBasket

SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina) - Bosnia and Herzegovina have stepped up their preparations for FIBA EuroBasket 2022 with head coach Adis Beciragic calling up 18 players in their preliminary squad.

There is a potential return for Portland Trail Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkic, who last suited up for the national team during the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers.


Dzanan Musa was the hero during the current campaign of World Cup Qualifiers after helping his country advance to the Second Round and is amongst a strong core aiming to make the final EuroBasket roster as they appear in the tournament for the first time since 2015.

Miralem Halilovic, Emir Sulejmanovic and Kenan Kamenjas are also included alongside Luka Garza, who awaits a senior debut with Bosnia and Herzegovina next facing Montenegro and France in the two World Cup Qualifiers fixtures ahead of EuroBasket.

Bosnia and Herzegovina are in Group B alongside France, Slovenia, Lithuania, Hungary and tournament co-hosts Germany with the Group Phase action taking place in Cologne from September 1-7, 2022.
